Brian Walsh joined the Religious Freedom Institute in August 2017 and has been focused on strategy for communications and the North America Action Team’s American Charter Project. Including as a fellow and executive director at Washington, D.C. think tanks, Brian has led multi-religious initiatives to protect and promote religious freedom as well as faith-based and other charitable giving. From 2006 - 2011, Brian led a coalition of diverse organizations seeking criminal-justice reform. The coalition spearheaded bipartisan congressional hearings and laid the foundation for major bipartisan legislation in Congress. Brian served as law clerk to the Honorable Pasco M. Bowman II of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. He earned his J.D. magna cum laude from the Regent University School of Law and hold a B.A. in physics from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
