Drawing from its rigorous research and robust educational efforts, the Religious Freedom Institute (RFI) works to make an impact for religious freedom “on the ground” in select regions, including the Middle East, North America, and South and Southeast Asia. RFI builds coalitions, conducts public policy advocacy, and convenes religiously and politically diverse voices to promote religious freedom as a fundamental human right, the cornerstone of a successful society, and a source of national and international security. In all facets of its work, RFI seeks to persuade key stakeholders that religious freedom should be protected in law and respected in culture.
RFI accomplishes its mission through five Action Teams, each endeavoring to advance religious freedom in a particular region or issue area. The Action Teams aim to convince stakeholders in their respective domains that protecting religious freedom can help them achieve their own goals—political, economic, strategic, and religious.
RFI regularly holds public events to increase awareness, appreciation, and support for a proper understanding of the meaning, value, and impact of religious freedom.
